Restore State Arts Funding – ArtsGeorgia Budget Proposal

Summary of the ArtsGeorgia Proposal:
1. Increase the arts council’s state funding to $1.5M for more grants and for the support of arts education.
2. Add separate funding of $1M for a Community Arts Partners program to support the arts in all 159 Georgia counties.
In 2015, let’s celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Georgia Council for the Arts honoring their achievements, Georgia’s rich tradition of arts and culture, and let’s get out of last place.
