ArtsGeorgia Celebrates: National Arts & Humanities Month
October is National Arts and Humanities Month—the largest annual celebration for the arts and humanities in the nation! From an announcement before a performance or during an arts center open house, to securing a mayoral proclamation, or better newspaper coverage of the arts, people in every community across the United States can celebrate NAHM by helping recognize the contributions of cultural organizations in their region.
Want to join in the celebration? Great! What would you like to do?
Consider some of these options:
1. Advocate for an increase in state arts funding with a personal letter to Governor Deal, or visit your elected officials.
2. Attend an exhibition, performance, or festival in your community
3. Renew your membership in your favorite arts organization
4. Join an arts organization as a new member; or
5. Sign up for the AFTA Arts Action Fund. http://www.artsactionfund.org/
